Moving towards each other: Antiracism Revolution (3 CMTEs)

$75.00

Moving towards each other: Antiracism Revolution (3 credits)

Presented by Nathalie Edmond, Psy.D., RYT-500

What if we imagined exploring ourselves as racial beings as an act of love for ourselves and our communities. What if conversations about race and racism were grounded in love and curiosity and it allowed us to move towards each other; supporting each other not only in surviving but moving towards thriving and collective liberation. In this workshop we will explore ourselves as racial beings, not just intellectually but in a mindful and embodied way. We will build our capacity for compassion and accountability on the antiracism journey.

What people are saying:

“This presentation was enlightening and powerful.  Everyone should view it!” Sally Burns MT-BC

This is probably the best class/training I have taken on antiracism.  Thank you so much for offering this”   Gwen Leibold, MT-BC

“One thing that stuck out to me and was a challenge that I needed to hear, was that it is not about immediately cancelling someone based on their ideas, thoughts or opinions.  That is not the time to write people off, but an opportunity to grow curious, move towards others and figure out where the repairs can be made.  I wish this was taught on a wider scale. ..This was a very good session!” Daneyelle Elder

“After watching this CMTE course, the part that I’ve found sticking with me the most is the idea of mindfulness and being able to remain in check with my body. I think I retained a lot more from the course because it started with talking about how to embrace and stay present through discomfort and feeling overwhelmed. I found this presentation to be particularly helpful within my own practice… This presentation definitely brought to mind some thought-provoking ideas.”  Olivia Watkins, MT-BC

“I really appreciated Dr. Edmond’s presentation on anti-racism. She gave a very comprehensive view of the history of racism in this country, the myriad of ways racism impacts our lives today, the complexity of talking about race, and the importance of mindfulness and nervous system regulation in this work. I loved her repeated reminder to move closer to one another and to “call in,” rather than “call out.”  Lillie Lumina, MT-BC

“For me, this was a very powerful workshop. I’m so thankful that I found it. It really gave me a lot to reflect on and I’m sure that the reflection will continue!” Samantha Sinai MT-BC
