You will register at songwork.com, which is a songwriting education site featuring unlimited access to video lectures by nationally-acclaimed teachers including Steve Seskin, Pat Pattison, Andrea Stolpe, Steve Leslie, Jimmy Kachulis and Bonnie Hayes. The principles covered in these videos can be applied to all genres of songwriting. Learn about story development, song structure, melody writing, prosody, phrasing, point of view and much more. These song writing instructors believe that when it comes to writing songs there are no rules – only tools. - Watch 3 1/2 hours worth of song writing videos at SongWork
- 1 hour assignment- Summarize the lessons you learn; include the names of the instructors and the topics of the videos you studied. Apply the lessons to your own songwriting and describe how you did so.
