    “I was drawn to the training because our Partial Program was willing to and needed to take a new direction. I volunteered to take the Music Therapy group and really create a skills track that fit the needs of our clients more specifically. Our clients are dealing with more and more personality struggles and DBT seemed like the right fit. Frankly, I have been using many of the strategies over the years and heard psychiatrist say “there needs to be a DBT program”.

    I gained a much clearer understanding of the modules, the skills and how to present them. I found the multiple training format (live supervision, reading the manuals and 2 different video presentations) to be most helpful. I truly gained much from the Behavioral Tech videos describing how to teach the skills and ideas related to music therapy groups really popped up out of that. I appreciated the structure of the timing of modules and feedback that allowed for the freedom to work at a steady yet manageable pace.
